Rubber Duckie was called out to a home in Covington to pressure wash a shed and this brick water fountain. As you can see, the bricks and the concrete slab were in need of cleaning.
I did not use any chemicals to clean this fountain because I did not know if any fish would be added to the water or not. Knowing what equipment to use and when and when not to use chemicals or cleaning products is a must when restoring someone's property.
No, you never use a pressure washer on a house; this can damage the siding or stucco! What you need is for your house to be soft washed. Take this house just outside of town: it is surrounded by trees that keep this wall in the shade most of the day. This is the perfect breeding ground for all kinds of organic material to grow. At first glance, you might think I need to blast it with my pressure washer or replace my siding. However, with the right equipment and the right cleaning solution, we can kill off all the organic matter and restore this siding to like-new conditions! We always use low pressure when washing a house (unless it's brick or concrete.)
Here in Louisiana, we are surrounded by live oaks, pine trees, and all kind of vegetation that has a mind of its own. We get tons of rain as well. This is one of the reasons for a lot of the algae and mold we find growing on our sidewalks and driveways. When this grows on these surfaces, it can become slick when it gets wet, not to mention an eye sore. Getting your driveway cleaned on a regular basis is a must to prolong its life. All the growth on the surface is eating away at the concrete and over time will weaken the top layers of your driveway and sidewalks. At Rubber Duckie Pressure Washing, we can get you on a bi-yearly or yearly schedule and save you money in the long run by prolonging the life of your surfaces.
